An Everything & More Interview: Katie Zhao

Hi readers!

I’m just about quivering with excitement for this interview today!! I’ve been a fan of Katie’s stories since The Dragon Warrior! Since then, it’s just been so amazing to see her write (and sell!!) more books. I know Last Gamer Standing is at the top of my TBR pile, and How We Fall Apart‘s release date is coming up on August 17! Which, of course, should be at the top of your TBRs as well 😉.

Mini Reviews: The Marvelous // The Sea Is Salt and So Am I

Hi readers!

I feel like all of my introductions are just me being like “how is it already ___???” 😭 But seriously, time truly does seem to go faster as you get older. Besides my perpetual surprise at this weird concept called time, I hope you are all doing well!

I’m excited to review two books that come out today (June 8)! Both surprised me in unexpected ways, especially The Marvelous by Claire Kann. Anyway, the reviews!

Review: On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

Hi readers!

Sometimes it just hits me how much I love reading. I love diving headfirst into a story as soon as I open the cover (or open the book on my Kindle). I love the feeling of being sucked into the world and the characters and feeling an indescribable attachment to them. Angie Thomas’ sophomore novel, On the Come Up wholeheartedly reminded me of this love.

I’m actually on my second read of this book, that’s how much I loved this story the first time around! This time, though, I’m listening to the audiobook, and it’s really cool to see Bri’s raps come to life.

Review: Paul, Big, and Small by David Glen Robb

Hello readers!

I’m back again with another review (who am I)! Unfortunately, unlike my two recent mini reviews, this one is…not so positive. In fact, it’s the first book I’ve rated 2🌟. I thought I was going to leave it around 3.5🌟, but as I continued to think and process what I had just read (and I looked over my review policy again), I realized that 2🌟 is more accurate.

Mini Reviews: The Bone Houses // Scavenge the Stars

Hello readers!

Today I come with something a little different than an ordinary review. I have decided to combine my review of these two books into one post and write mini(er) reviews! Hopefully I will be formatting more review posts like this in the future 🙂

The Reading Rush TBR

Hello readers!

You may have heard of The Reading Rush under its former name, BookTubeAThon. It is a readathon that happens on BookTube and Bookstagram for one week during the summertime. This year’s dates are July 22-July 28. I took part last year, and I was so close to finishing seven books, but I unfortunately could not see properly for 24 hours (this is what an eye doctor’s appointment will do to you🙃), so, alas, it did not happen. But! This year, I really am determined to finish seven books within the week.
